Home Checks

Interior

  • Walk through all rooms.
  • Check alarm system.
  • Check for musty or unusual odors.
  • Check that lights are working.
  • All doors and windows are secured.
  • Inspect faucets, showers, garbage disposals, and flush toilets, checking for any leaks.
  • Inspect ceilings and walls to ensure there are no active leaks.
  • Check for evidence of rodents or insects.
  • Check A/C and/or heater to ensure they are set appropriately.
  • Check electrical panel for any tripped breakers.
  • Listen for smoke detector low battery signal.
  • Check furniture for damage.
  • Check that refrigerator and freezer are cooling.

Exterior

  • Pick up papers from the driveway.
  • Pick up mail or packages and put them inside.
  • Walk around the home; check doors, screens, and windows to make
    sure they are secure.
  • Check roof, chimney, and gutters for any obvious problems.
  • Check pool or spa water levels, listen for pump.
  • Look for insect or rodent issues.
  • Check that garage is operational but closed and secure.
  • Garbage cans brought in from roadside.
  • Check porch screens, patio, and furniture.
  • Check that faucets and hoses are turned off.
  • Check for evidence of unauthorized entry, and weather-related
    problems (fallen branches, displaced patio furniture, etc.).

Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate services such as pool cleaning, HVAC repair, Internet or cable
  • Give vendors access to the home
  • Coordinate interior design, remodel, new construction, home staging
  • Provide vendor options, obtain quotes, act as client liaison as needed
  • Oversee vendor services
  • Manage small projects
